The Power of Relationships

This year, educators will face enormous headwinds – whether in-person or remote – and must continue to sharpen new skills and practices. As they seek to provide rigorous, challenging learning experiences, educators will need to engage new students without insights about their academic progress and their social-emotional needs, following months of disruption.

NEW!  LEAP Learner Immersion: Foundations

As part of the LEAP Learning Series, we’ve created the Learner Immersion: Foundations program, designed to empower teachers with strategies and tools to build deep, engaging relationships with learners, quickly. We will share strategies and tools for teachers to get to know their students better and quickly identify their needs, via the collaborative development of a robust learner profile.

The Learner Profile Tool
The centerpiece of the program is the dynamic experience of co-creating a learner profile with the new LEAP Learner Profile Tool. Educators will learn evidence-based strategies to use the comprehensive tool to engage students about themselves, their passions and their learning — all to discover powerful, multidimensional insights to empower instruction.

Who will most benefit?
Teachers at all experience levels but new to personalized learning, and looking to build their SEL knowledge and student-centered practices, will benefit most from LEAP Learner Immersion.

How does it work?
The LEAP Learner Immersion: Foundations program is an adaptive, digitally enabled learning experience for teachers, centered around mastering the strategy, development and immediate application of a multidimensional learner profile. The LEAP Learner Immersion encompasses three self-paced modules, designed to be flexible to accommodate unpredictable schedules this Fall.

  • Each of the three modules corresponds with activity modules, so – whether in-person or remote – teachers will apply strategies and practices immediately with their students.
  • Adding to the efficiency, the adaptive experience recognizes when teachers master the content or when they need to dive deeper. This ensures teachers spend just the right amount of time with the program.
  • A Resource Library complements each module with additional learning tools and references to empower the experience.

How do I enroll?
Administrators can register multiple teachers, and also receive access to the LEAP Learner Profile Tool, office hours with LEAP coaches, and additional resources around Learner Focused pedagogy, relationship-building and equitable teaching practices.

The Remote Learning Seminar Series

This spring, as schools were forced to navigate the uncharted waters of COVID-19, we hosted six live webinars addressing issues of importance to principals and schools amid their transition to remote learning. The sessions featured learning science experts and, most importantly, educators successfully handling the realities of given topics on the ground. These guest participants shared their perspectives, engaged in open dialogue with attendees after sessions and contributed tangible resources for teachers.

Nearly 1,500 educators joined the sessions in total. And they said that the sessions helped and inspired them to take on the challenges of remote learning, with more than 90 percent of participants reporting they found the content relevant and actionable. Find live recordings of the sessions, as well as the resources we’ve gathered to help, on our Remote Learning Resources page.
